5 ways to be a great client

The customers always right! The customers always right! But what if the customer is wrong. As long as I have been in the salon I have had plenty of experiences. The rude, never satisfied, the client that never speaks up until they get home, you name it I have had it all. While I appreciate all my clients I do want to share my thoughts. Here are % ways you can be a great client.
First thing is first when coming to the salon its suppose to be an environment where you can chill and relax. We already get styles that take over an hour to finish, so the best thing you can do it come with positivity and have patience. When your coming to get your hair done being in a time crunch is the absolute worst thing you can do. You want to be able to get your finished look and not have to come back again just to fix something minor; it wastes time and cuts into the stylists busy schedule.
Come to the salon alone. There is no need to bring a friend. You want to have a private and intimate session with your stylist so that you can have the best communication. When you go to the salon and you bring a friend for company you lose out on your opportunity to consult properly and build a solid relationship with your stylist.
3. Leave work at home. Its best to stay off cell phones and and laptops when getting your hair done. Under the dryer or while receiving treatments is fine, but in the chair it’s an absolute disaster. You couldn’t imagine how annoying it is to constantly say “can you lift your head up, thank you” every 5 minutes.
4. Tipping is always an optional suggestion. Tip according to your service but do tip. Tips go a long way for stylist.
5. Referrals. Its the gift that keeps on giving. Brag about your stylist if your proud of their work. Don’t be stingy. I know so many people who hate to share their stylist with the world. I get it, you want exclusivity right! Well if you do not send referrals how will your stylist make a living. How will they continue to prosper. We love referrals. No matter how advanced technology gets word of mouth is still the most trustworthy way of building a great relationship.
