beginning of a new era

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Im excited for my first ever blog. I want to give everyone an insight on this journey that we are about to embark on with Chicbythelayers.

I was sitting home one day in my rented room thinking about how passionate I was about hair and making wigs. I just wanted to make women and men (if your into that) beautiful; But I wanted to take it a step further. So I called my father, who lives in South Carolina, and I said I wanted to take my business on the road. I made a mock version of what I wanted and what it may cost me. He was so into it he decided I'm going to help you.

“I was sitting home one day in my rented room thinking about how passionate I was about hair and making wigs.”

Him living in SC was easy for us to find an RV. It was also a plus that he is a skilled contractor. My only issue was that I didn't have the funding. I was renting a room and paying booth rent in a salon. I didn't know how I was going to pull this off. I decided to start grinding. I spent late hours in the salon working just so that I can pay for my first big project.

I found my first RV it was $900 and I was excited, little did I know it would be my first lost. I hoped on a chinese bus and went to SC. We started stripping the truck and breaking it down. I had saved a few hundred dollars to purchase sheet rock and all this material from home depot. The investment was too much for me to continue to invest in. We decided to scrap the truck , so we made a little bit of our money back.

It was time to start our search again. Shortly after we found a new RV. For the last 2 years we have been working around our busy schedules to get this project complete. We are 70% complete. I can not wait to share pics and more information on this journey.

This has been the best and worst experience of my life. It was times I wanted to just give up and say Fuck this I'm just about to get a job. Then I remember who I am and that I don't give up.

Lets Talk and share your comments and your journeys and dreams.
